Jenny Plesums is a senior associate with vcfo Incorporated, a consulting firm in Austin Texas that provides financial management and other office services to start-up companies. She frequently works as a Controller, helping a new company establish it's financial procedures and records. She supervises the day-to-day bookkeeping and preparation of financial statements until the company has grown to need an in-house financial officer. The ultimate goal is to help recruit and train the full-time person that will replace her.

Prior to joining vcfo, Jenny was a private consultant in Austin, and the Controller for a public firm with 650 employees throughout Texas.

Before moving to Austin, Jenny was the business manager, functioning as the chief financial officer, for Radiology Associates of San Antonio. She spent several years as the Director of Outpatient Operations for M&S X-Ray, in charge of operating seven outpatient clinics (including building two new multimillion dollar facilities). Earlier she was a public accountant, with practices involving tax, litigation support, and retirement plans.

Earlier in Jenny's career she was in medical research (at the University of Minnesota, University of Virginia, and University of Pennsylvania). She has several published paper in orthopedics, physiology, and reproduction.

Jenny is a Certified Public Accountant (licensed in Texas) and a Registered Medical Technologist of the American Society of Clinical Pathologists (inactive). She is a former board member and President of Hospice San Antonio. Jenny was graduated from Viterbo University in LaCrosse Wisconsin.
